Ingredients:
- Meatloaf
- 1 lb lean ground beef (at least 80%)
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup Progresso™ Plain Bread Crumbs
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup milk
- Topping
- 1/4 cup ketchup
Directions:
- Heat oven to 350°F.
- In large bowl, using a spoon or your clean hands, mix the beef, onion, eggs, bread crumbs, Italian seasoning, 1/2 cup ketchup and milk until well combined.
- Press the beef mixture in ungreased 8x4-inch loaf pan. Bake 40 minutes.
- Remove from oven. Spread 1/4 cup ketchup evenly over top. Bake an additional 15 to 20 minutes or until meat thermometer inserted in center of loaf reads 160°F.
- Let the meatloaf stand 10 minutes.
- Loosen the edges with a knife or spatula, and carefully invert the pan over a serving plate, tapping the bottom of the pan to release the meatloaf; if necessary, use two spatulas to lift it out of the pan. Gently slice with a serrated knife and place it onto your serving plate.
